ORVIL JACK TURQUOISE CHARACTERISTICS
“Around the 1980s, Orvil Jack found veins of what is now called as Orvil Jack turquoise. During that period, only little was sold due to the beauty of his Blue Ridge nuggets and spider web turquoise.

In about 1983, Orvil discovered the beautiful lime green turquoise stones and continued to mine the area. According to his daughter Grace Jack, he only sold a small amount of this color, he had kept the majority of the lime green turquoise himself.
Orvil Jack turquoise holds a world of stunning lime green turquoise - vibrant, uplifting, and is reminiscent of fresh springtime. Its colors range in various shades of greens and yellows; the sunny yellows, soothing blues, and vibrant greens, with some of the most vivid and rich in colors are caused by the high zinc content of the material, which replaces other minerals.
In 1986, Orvil Jack passed away. After his passing, his daughter Grace Jack Wintle and her husband Jay continue to work the claims.”
